8 hours of Cookies

I recently developed an interest in cooking, and baking. I have found a magic store that has everything i could ever want to bake with....Gygi's. On Monday i went to Gygi's, and found some new toys. I got chocolate molds, and cookie molds to make fancy desserts.

Today is the "Family Fun Night" at the elementary school near my house, and they are having a bake sale, and since my mother is the head secretary for that school, naturally she volunteers my services to make a billion cookies since i have nothing better to do. I went to Gygi's to get the supplies at 9, and didn't finish until about 5 last night, hence the 8 hours of cookies. But these are not just ordinary cookies, they are chocolate covered cookies (basically a heart attack on a stick) . And though the first 10 batches were fun, it got old after a while. But i am proud to say that i have made 120 delicious and gorgeous cookies. However my mother will be lucky if any of them make it to the school tonight.

Tuesday morning Temple trips.

Every tuesday morning i go to the temple. Today was a special experience, i went with many questions today, not really expecting answers to come, but just needing the peace that came with temple attendance. I have never had an experience like today. I went to the Jordan River temple, and as you enter the baptistry there you go into a prayer room and talk with some of the sisters serving at the temple and have a prayer. As i walked into the prayer room i was overwhelmed with the spirit. I started to cry, and the sisters waited for me to get a hold of myself. i just sat there for a minute. After i was ok the temple worker asked if i would give the prayer. I did, and again was hit with the spirit. I have never felt anything so strong before in my life. As i left the temple i felt the peace that i knew would come. I have a strong testimony of the temple. I love the temple and i know that answers do come. I know that it is the house of the lord, and there is no better place to become closer to God and our savior Jesus Christ.

SPRING BREAK

Over spring break me and three of my friends went on a road trip to Vegas/California/Mexico.  Two of these friends i have only known for about 6 months (we met in communications class last semester, and became best friends) and the other friend is my cousin.  We had been talking about going on a trip for almost as long as i have known them, but i never thought it would really happen.  We booked our hotels, and i finally believed we were actually going.
DAY 1:
The first day we spent driving to Las Vegas where we hung out on the strip, and stayed the night.  We spent most of our time in Vegas at the M&M and Coke factories. One of the friends i went with, Aric, was convinced that the Green M&M was his girlfriend.  So we had to go through the whole factory taking pictures of him with every Green M&M that we could find.  When we were in the Coke factory, they have a sample platter of 16 different Coke products from around the world, we all shared one of these samplers, and tried all of the Cokes.  Some of them were good, but a couple of them were disgusting, especially the Italian one.
DAY 2:
We went to the stratosphere before we left, and at the top of it they have some thrill rides.  Three of us decided to go on the Big Shot.  Its already 81 stories high and then they shoot you up 3 more stories.  It was scary to say the least.  After that exciting event, the rest of the day was boring, just driving to San Diego.
DAY 3:
TODAY WE WENT TO SEA WORLD!!!! THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!  We saw the Dolphin, and Shamoo Shows.  We were soaked all day, because we had to sit in the splash zone in both shows.  We also went on one of the water rides.  We went back to the hotel soaking wet, frozen solid, and more sun burned than humanly possible.  Even with the sunburn it was an amazing day.
DAY 4:
Went to Imperial BEACH today.  It was super fun.  We rented a boogie board, that kept us entertained for a while, and I found some cool sea shells.  Of course we got more sunburned, maybe someday we will learn what sunscreen is, maybe not.
DAY 5:
Today me and Aric went to Mexico (the other 2 didn't have passports).  We got lost trying to find one of his old mission companions.  So we spent most of the day with his mission companions mom trying to track him down.  It was really cool to hear Aric and this lady speaking spanish all day.  I caught bits and pieces, just enough to remind me to brush up on my spanish before i go back (hopefully soon).  We went to lunch with his mom, and shopping for a little bit, and then went to a school where we finally found the MIA mission companion.  Aric absolutely loved it.  He got updates on some of the people he had taught and a lot of them had already been through the temple.  After that Me and Aric went back to the little shops to get souvenirs.
DAY 6:
SEA WORLD AGAIN!!!! We had to go back of course.  Today we went to the Seal and Sea Lion show, which turned out to be my favorite because it was so funny.  We bought all of our presents for our families, and then headed back to the hotel.  Later that night we went to a pier and took pictures at sunset, it was amazingly gorgeous.
DAY 7:
We checkout of our hotel, and headed up to L.A. for the morning.  We saw the HOLLYWOOD sign, and walked down Hollywood Blvd. and saw all of the stars on the sidewalk.  After a couple hours there we needed to get on the road.  We drove to Prim Nevada, and stayed in Buffalo Bills.  At this hotel they have the biggest or longest or tallest or something-est roller coaster there so we had to go on it.
DAY 8:
Not much going on today.  We drove home!!
                                                                               THE END!!!
